Facebook has decided to pause the button on conventional Instagram kids apps.

Facebook now decided to pause the brakes on Instagram for kids. 

Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri wrote a blog post that was published yesterday. he wrote that “While we stand by the need to develop this experience, we’ve decided to pause this project,”.

This listing has come after a Wall Street Journal investigation round what Facebook is aware of about how Instagram impacts affect teen customers including their mental health. 

Mosseri acknowledges that report of the journal has to create a lot of questions in the people’s minds. They published a statement at the begging of the month that Instagram can be a palace where people have “negative experiences,” the app also gives a voice to marginalized people and helps friends and family stay connected. 

Today’s show takes an interview on Monday, Mosseri said that Instagram tries to work a series of tools to help address mental health. That includes a feature called Take a Break that allows users to temporarily leave the platform when going through a hard time, such as a breakup, without others being able to comment or send messages. 

He also added that Instagram is working to add optional parental controls to accounts for users 13 and older. This blog says that the details of how it works will be announced next month.
