it’s a open-source browser extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Firefox for Android prepared by the Electronic Frontier Foundation .
Its purpose is to improve a balanced approach to internet privacy between customers and content providers by blocking advertisements tracking cookies that do not respect the setting in a user’s web browser. While some of its code is built on Adblock Plus, its only blocks those ads which come with embedded trackers.
